More Fun On The Lures

With the same set of tides as the last trip and the same great weather it made sense to do exactly the same thing today. Learning from the last trip, I made sure that I loaded up with sun cream today.....It's so easy to forget and so easy to burn when your out on the water - a hat of some description goes without saying of course!
It really was shorts and T-shirt weather today, just how summer should be....the fishing wasn't too bad either. Bass came to the lures as they did last time with Dave finding the best fish of 6lb on the first drift...

The others seemed to average 3 to 4lb and after 4 each and a drop in drift speed we were ready for a change and a go at the plaice.

I'd had the chance to dig a few worms in the week and was glad that I had bought them along today. There was a stiff breeze that was pushing us along a little too fast to work the Isomes effectively and although they were still catching, live worm out fished them by a long way today. Dave cottoned on and the worms ran out by the time we were queueing up for the last drift!

Another good day and the last one down here before we head off to Loppa in Norway at the start of July for fat cod and big flatfish with teeth.....can't wait!
