More October Cod

Managed to get out Thursday evening for another go at the cod. It felt like the middle of summer in the late evening sun and afloat in a boat seemed to be about the best place to be!
I kicked off the trip early with a lovely bass on my first cast before the tide had even got going.....really nice chunky fish that put up a great fight. On the scales at 8lb 6oz!

Just as the tide got going Dave lateched into the first cod at 9lb....

Then, just as we were thinking things were hotting up it went dead. We stuck it out into darkness but with still nothing showing we had a move and found the fish again. Another 4 cod came to the boat before we called it a night!
