A 'Best' for Dave...

While I was still stuck up in Gloucester visiting family this Christmas, others were afloat fishing for cod! I missed out on the action again yesterday as Dave sneaked out for a go.
The first I knew about it was in the form of a text yesterday morning that read "Cod On" and after exchanging a few more - a picture came my way of Dave's personal best (to date) cod of 23lb! I gather it was fairly slow out there and apart from a few whiting they didn't have a lot else but after landing a nice big cod like that I don't expect he was too worried!

Looking at the last few days left in December I think we will be extremely lucky to get out again with the wind that's forecast. I think there will still be a few cod around in the first part of 2012 though.
We've had a great year this year with some quality fish...looking forward to the next now and the variety that comes with it as the days get longer.
Have a good'un!
