Shore Session with Pops

Promised to take the father in law (Pops) fishing this weekend so we snuck out for a couple of hours this evening to see what we could winkle out.
After making my first cast I was greeted with this floater in the shallows.....remains of a big old lumpsucker!

I missed a 'gimme' first cast, how I managed to miss that fish I don't know but straight back out and a fish on not long after. A school bass of 2lb 7oz.

The fish were very finicky this evening and I missed a couple more good bites (probably energetic little bass) and ended the session with a smaller fish than the first.

Pops too missed a couple of bites and all to soon it was time to leave, but hey - there's always tomorrow!
