Cracking Morning Afloat.....

Up super early this morning and greeted by mouthwatering conditions, in no time at all we had the boat afloat and were ready to go.

The sea was as flat as your hat with no one else in sight at that time of the morning and in minutes we had arrived at our first mark for some bream and ray.
We were into bream from the off, hectic action with my two biggest going:

4lb 4oz....a new personal best!!

and 3lb 10oz.......two fish for nearly 8lb!!

Fishing was hectic and I don't think I even managed to make a roll up whilst I had a bait in the water!. Aside from the bream we had a few good rays with the biggest falling to Dave:

A good thornback of 11lb 5oz

Plenty of spotted's and a few more thornies....

Followed by a bass and a garfish!

After filling our boots on the bream it was time for a change of location and a change of target species. So we headed off to find some flatties and at least get to eat a bit of our breakfast!
First drop I was into a lovely little turbot.

Dave then followed up with a small brill...this was turning into a cracking morning!

Then a fish with a bit more weight to it......I was preying for a bigger flattie but it turned out to be a small blonde.

Then a better bite as my moving bait caught the eye of another brill ;-)

After this we headed back in for some more bream and again were straight into fish. After a great mornings fishing we then motored back to port to be greeted with women in bikinis!!....Great day and a few more species to the tally for 2008.
