Ryde Sands

Jake is starting to become a bit of a regular these days, joining me when the conditions and type of fishing suit. Today was no different and I had promised him a morning trip out as long as he helped dig the bait!
We were trying another suspect gilthead bream mark today safe in the knowledge that there would be plenty of action even if the gilts weren't about.
A 5 minute run to the mark (Jake at the helm!) we dropped anchor in 15 feet of water. The ebb tide seems to get under way quite early here so we were on the fish from the word go.
Jake was enjoying himself with a selection of wrasse, black bream, school bass and a big silver eel! While Dave and I failed to find any giltheads, we also had plenty of action and a bonus plaice around 2lb.

A lovely morning afloat and all the better when you can share it with your son.
