Plaice & Burgers

Second plaice trip of the year, this time in my boat - we launched around 9:30 and headed off into the light North Easterly wind. On arrival we met up with Pinkboat and Piggy who were fishing right on our numbers, but nothing showing as yet.
The gear was soon deployed but things were (as expected!) slow.

It wasn't long before the burgers were broken out, as we've found on many a trip that these can bring the plaice on the feed! Unfortunately this didn't work, but 30 mins after I had a bite which resulted in this little devil!

More burgers and no bites, the wind dropped nicely, sun out and was quite a pleasant afternoon in the end.
Dave then finally got a bite, and then another on the second rod which turned into a pair of small ones.

As we left conditions improved further and it was a nice run back to Ryde.
