Hour of Fun

I had a few worms left in the fridge that needed using today. I suggested to the kids that we took the dog for a walk down the beach this evening and they could take their little rods and have a fish for half an hour or so. We finished our tea, chucked the rods in the car with the dog and headed down there to see what we could find.
It was a very warm and pleasant evening and as soon as the baits went out small nibbles started to register on their rod tips. Jake was first to hook up with a small bass....he was a bit disappointed with it's size compared to the ones he had the week before!

There were a lot of tiny fish stripping the worm baits within seconds and it wasn't long before Sadie's little pink rod signalled a fish on! She went one better than Jake and managed a black bream!

After a few more casts, missed bites and a few crabs Jake managed to pull one back with a bream of his own.

Before we knew it an hour had slipped by and it was time to head back - under protest I might add!
