Ventnor Junior Open - 2011

Well this year will be Jakes third and Sadies second at fishing this great junior open competition. We had also invited some friends along this year with their two girls - neither had fished before but were quite excited at the prospect of catching fish and winning prizes!!
Fortunately the weather held out and we all had a great time. I was kept extremely busy running back and forth helping all 4 kids to catch fish. Here are a few photos of the afternoon:

Time flew by and to be honest I was quite relieved when the three hours was up!! After burgers and drink they all sat patiently waiting for the results. Jake did very well, taking top junior in his age category, a tenner, a big box of chocolate sweets and his choice from the prize table. Despite the great rods and reels that were on display, Jake decided he wanted the guitar that was hanging up :-/ Sadie did well too.......again she choose a 'hello kitty' hair dryer over a lovely little abu black max multiplier.....ahhhhh! The other two girls also did well and chose wisely picking up a new rod and reel combo each!!

59 juniors fished all told with most if not all catching fish and winning a prize. I have a feeling there will definitely be four (if not more) coming with me again next year!
