The Prospects Look Good

As always you can guarantee that if I can't make a trip - It'll be one I didn't want to miss!
Back down on the Island on a break from working abroad, Dale (former owner of the boat) partnered up with Dave to form the cod fishing duo this afternoon.
To cut a long story short, the boys did well in some very sporty conditions!. They found 5 cod between them from 6 to 15lb with a good mix of year classes too which really bodes well for the season ahead.



Apparently the best one had been after the pout that was already hooked....



Lets hope that the weather this year is kinder than the last and we can get a few decent trips in before it's out.
