It's Warming Up - Slowly!

With Bramblemet showing 9°C we are definitely starting to warm up. The Solent though seems to be warmer than the bay by 1 or 2°C and it will only start to really kick off when we see 10°C. Never the less we opted for a short inshore trip today to see what we could winkle out.
Feathers were deployed over the side for the morning that were intermittently dancing to the tune of a herring or two.....much to Jake's amusement!

In addition to the herring there were a few garfish shooting around too but no mackerel as yet. Fishing on the bottom was slow, real slow but the early morning sunshine was glorious and we did manage one fish that made the trip much more worth while.......got to be happy with a half decent Turbot!

Just to round the morning off a couple of lobby's found their way into the parlour too. It's taking it's time but we are getting there...there will be bream on the ground in a week or two.
