The Early Bird......

Up very early this morning for a real quick trip with just enough time to check the pots and get a short bit of fishing in with the lures before breakfast.
The plan was just to fish the last of the ebb for bass and pollack then have half an hour over slack tide for a plaice or two.
It was a good start with a couple of lobsters each and a fast smooth ride out to set up for the first drift with a white 4" sidewinder.
A slow start soon picked up as the tide started to slow and despite a very narrow window of opportunity we managed to find a few fish.

As the tide died, so did the fishing. Time for a move and change of lure - out came the isomes.....shortly followed by those inquisitive plaice.
We found enough fish to keep us busy, no monsters but some good fish all the same.

Our cue to leave and head back for breakfast came quickly with the tide now gathering pace as the flood got going. You can bare an early start when the fishing goes your way!
