Same Again....

....only this time the mackerel were so few and far between we only found 3 along with a couple of scad as the light faded away. It didn't matter anyway, the bottom fishing was pretty dead. Apart from the ever present trace destroying eels we managed just the one bass..

And the highlight of the night - Dave's first ever 3 bearded Rockling - affectionately known as "Big Slugs" down here! Think this one has managed to elude him for a long long time.....hence the suppressed smile!


Apart from continued interest from eels that was that - a real slow evening. I think we are going to have to take a change of tack for the next trip and head Solent side for a go at the sole....sometimes a change is as good as a rest!
