Another evening out and another go at the cod. We were fishing the flood tonight and not the only boat with the same idea. As well as a few others, Dale and Mike were also out and tagged along with us to fish the same area.
It's starting to feel more like winter than Autumn now and when the light goes that temperature really starts to drop. We were dressed for the occasion tonight though and were also equipped with the stove and coffee making facilities should we need it.
The fishing was slow but steady and we manged to find a few eels including one well over 30lb, a couple of undulates and a surprise spurdog...
The cod (at least for us) were playing hard to get this evening but I did manage to find a pair of low doubles as the evening drew out.
Dale and Mike whooped us tonight though with 6 cod on the boat and topped it off with a double figure bass! Good dangling boys!
The fishing is really getting good now and with several big fish being reported from both ends of the Island it's only a matter of time before one of us gets a magical 30!
