Red Letter Day

Dave and I had planned on a bass fishing sortie today and thankfully it was one of those days that went exactly to plan. Plenty of fresh crab, a good onshore blow....conditions were screaming BASS!
We arrived, set up and it wasn't long before we were off the starting blocks with a fish of around 2lb falling to Dave which I then followed with one of about 14". A small bass but they were there none the less.
After re-casting I had a classic full rod bending wrench and after a good scrap had this belter at 7lb 2oz.....a real fat stocky fish in superb condition.

Dave answered back with a fish of 2lb 15oz

Followed by another of 3lb 5oz!

I then added a smaller fish of around 15" which was quickly followed by another fish of 3lb 2oz!

Things slowed down a bit for a while with the last fish of 3lb 9oz falling to Dave...

All in all a nice little session with 8 bass between us (4 each).....Happy Days!
