Thursday Night - Sandown Bay

With low winds and nice weather Dave and I went for a spot of ray bashing in the bay last night. More of a practice run really as we hadn't launched with the tractor in the dark before. Safe to say everything went smoothly and we were soon fishing.
Within minutes the bites came thick and fast with the main culprits being those hard fighting doggies. These were interspersed with 3 strap congers between 10 - 20lb, a thornback ray of 8lb and a small bass.

As the tide turned and started to ebb all went quiet so we headed back in and got the boat successfully back on the trailer......after which we were met by the police as someone had reported a boat and lights on the beach.....and people in the water!!!

All in all not a bad evening.
