Summer Silver

To catch the tide we wanted, an early start was needed today to target the bass on lures. The weather was great and the fishing not too far behind! We had a lot of small fish between 2 and 4lb that kept us busy throughout the tide with the best a little over 5lb to Dave:

With the best of the fishing done we had a move to fish the last of the tide a bit closer to home. Several drifts resulted in just the one fish to me, that fish however felt much better than any of the others we'd had through the morning. After a brilliant fight and a lot of head shakes I was relieved to see her glide into the net. A Bass in prime condition going 8lb 4oz :-)

We added another 3 or 4 drifts but the fish just weren't there...for me though I couldn't care less - we'd had a fantastic morning on the bass and that last fish was just the icing on the cake!
