Evening Shore Session

As the title suggests it was time to break out the long rods for a local shore session. Bait being crab only, Dave and I arrived at the venue to fish the first 3 hours of the flood.
A warm night with a fair bit of action too....rods trying to leave the rest and slamming bites resulted in a very enjoyable and productive evening.
We set out in search of bass and were rewarded for our efforts with several fish interspersed with a few quality smoothhounds to around 7lb.

The best bass falling to me at exactly 5lbs, fought like a demon, tail walking around 50 yards out.....

All in all a very enjoyable evening......great when a plan comes together :-)
