Spring Plaice - Round 2

Another shot at the plaice today and a very early start saw us at the mark just after 6am. Conditions were perfect and we were confident of finding a few fish.......and find a few fish we did!
Action was constant and at times hectic throughout the morning. There were a lot of small plaice on the ground but fishing through them we found some very respectable fish up to 5lb.

There were also a few dabs and wrasse thrown in for good measure too!

The majority of the fish went back but it wouldn't be right if we didn't keep a few of the better fish back for tea...they make great eating and rank right up there as one of my favourites.

We were were back at the compound for 11:30 with a couple of bonus lobsters from the pots too...happy days!
