Midweek Cod

Another midweek trip that I couldn't make fished really well....doesn't it always!
Dave and John snuck out to try a new bit of ground we had discovered earlier in the year that we had been wanting to try once the cod were about.
Well it payed off nicely with 5 cod to 16lb......all doubles too!
John managed this brace, both within 5 minutes of each other...first ones he's had for a couple of years apparently so what a way to kick back into it!

Dave was lucky to get this one aboard...literally hooked through the skin of the lip....!

Nicely done chaps.......weathers looking shit for a bit....I've got a real bad 'cod itch' that needs scratching and it looks like my needles trip on the 3rd will be a no goer. Still, it's early days and a good couple of months to go yet!
