More Of The Same......

.......only this time from Olly!
Dave had promised a trip to a friend that wanted a shot at catching a cod so today I tagged along with Olly and the four of us headed out for another go.
A few more boats out today and a lot slower on the fishing front. Still, they were about and around half an hour in, I connected with one...for all of 3 seconds before it came off - felt like a decent fish. Kept telling myself it was an eel but you can't kid a kidder! That was to be my only chance...Olly got two chances and made them both count with a fish of 8lb and another of 12lb.

I think Dave had used most of his luck up Friday and like myself missed out but Daz managed his first ever cod...first time trying! Not a bad way to start with a 15lber!

I have seen plenty of reports of 30lb+ fish coming out this year......just one of those would make it all worth while!
