There Is Always a Plan B!!

Well toady's plan to head out for some bass fishing on the banks was scuppered by the weather so we were left scratching around in close. The wind was blowing a force 4 to 5, it was cold and intermittently raining!
Options were limited too as the water clarity that we did have was all but gone so in the end we found an inshore bank to anchor for a couple of hours before heading home to warm up!
The fishing was slow and bites very few and far between but those few bites that did materialise did turn into fish that were at least worth a photo or two. First up was a nice blonde ray around 15lbs on an extra large sandeel...

Then a painted ray found one of Dave's uptide baits.....

On the last cast just before we left I had a much livelier bite resulting in a short but spirited scrap from a small bass.

With that we called it a day, cold and tired of being thrown around in the boat but just about worth the effort for a few fish on what would have been an otherwise uneventful day.......roll on summer!
